Courses, Seminars, Workshops
We offer three kinds of educational courses. All are given at Golden Gate University, the preeminent institution for the scientific study of the markets. Actually, the only one. Technical Analysis of Stock Trends is a 2 1/2 day intensive seminar workshop which is intended as total immersion shock therapy for all those feeling betrayed and heart sick about their love affairs with the market. Participants range from intelligent beginners to experienced professionals who have recently discovered the difference between a bull market and genius. In spite of the course title the content is completely appropriate for any kind of trading or investing--stocks, bonds, commodities.
Frequently a Saturday morning workshop is given at GGU, titled Kiss and Kry and Kibitz with Karnak. No presentation is made. The format is question and answer. Many of the participants at these sessions are professionals and serious traders and very interesting ideas and observations arise. In addition, the instructor, Professor Bassetti dissects and criticizes trades contemplated and made by the attendees (thus the Kiss and Kry title, a la distraught figure skaters).
In the summer session at GGU a graduate seminar is given by Professor Bassetti. Fifteen weeks in length, Building Effective Trading Systems exposes the student to the forty year experience of the professor in building systems and trading them in futures and commodities, stocks and bonds. Many national figures, colleagues and associates of the instructor, have appeared as guest lecturers at this seminar. It is an indispensable lesson for the aspiring trader--and also for the experienced trader who has discovered the law of changing cycles. This seminar is consistently ranked by its students as one of most excellent and useful at GGU.
