The game and this course are academic exercises and so no intent is made or taken to render investment advice. While some live investing situations will be dealt with the instructor does not recommend or discourage the live investment in stocks and students should realize that cheap investment advice is not being given. Free opinions about the market are given at www.edwards-magee.com. This free commentary may be invidiously compared to 99% of Wall Street Analysts' blathering.
To play Stump the Professor the player gathers his unidentified charts on 81/2 x 11 paper without dates and names so that the Professor has no clue as to what stock (or commodity) he is dealing with. Two charts should be prepared. One picturing the stock at some moment in time where a decision had to be made. The other chart showing the solution, or what happened subsequent to the first chart.
The game may of course be played with computer graphics, but it is important that identifying information be removed from the chart so that the challenger may see that Karnak is not using hindsight.
